Nanam is the Ghana country manager for the NRI-led project Cassava:Adding Value for Africa (C:AVA) which is developing value-chains for High Quality Cassava Flour to improve the livelihoods and incomes of smallholder households in Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria and Malawi.
"By virtue of its history, NRI is strategically positioned to support academic and research work on tropical crops like cassava, the subject of my PhD thesis at the institute. The research and study skills I acquired during my study at NRI have contributed very much to my current work and helped improve the quality of my research work, my quest for more knowledge (especially in the area of management), and consequently my progression from a Unit Head to a Divisional Head, and now as the Director of my institute, the CSIR Food Research Institute in Ghana."
