Catching tsetse

What is a man fly-round?

A fly round consists of a team of 2-3 people with hand nets who walk through the bush. They stop at regular, usually marked, stations where they collect following flies. The team often uses a black screen to increase the catch of flies . Catches of some species (eg, G. pallidipes, G. m. morsitans) can also be increased by using appropriate attractants (Shereni, 1984).
