VINET
(Virtual Information Network on Ethical Trade)
Updated July 2000
The Virtual Information Network for Ethical Trade
(VINET) is an interactive site for ethical trade in horticulture. It provides
people with an interest in the Horticulture Industry with comprehensive
and up-to-date information and a forum for discussion on social and environmental
aspects of trade.
The principal goals of VINET are to provide members
and the general public with:
-
A database of baseline information necessary
to monitor and verify ethical standards in each country.
-
A confidential forum for discussing ethical sourcing
issues – "differing views properly expressed".
-
An up-to-the-minute source of information on
current developments in ethical sourcing world-wide.
VINET now has members around the world from retailers,
buyers, NGOs, government and trades unions.

web-site or contact NRET.
