The CGIAR is an association of public and private members
supporting a system of 16 Future Harvest Centers that work in more than 100
countries, using strategic and applied research to address problems affecting
agricultural productivity and associated wider issues of poverty reduction,
sustainable natural resource management, protection of biodiversity, and
rural development.
