Research areas: anthropology of food; environmental anthropology; material culture. Key development expertise: radio and development; 'transition' countries; natural resource use; food and environment; food and health. Research experience includes fieldwork among the Kelabit of Sarawak, Malaysia, and with the Polish community in Britain.
