Visiting Professor of Grain Postharvest Management. Specialist in the reduction of grain postharvest losses. Over thirty years research, teaching and consultancy on grain quality management on-farm and in warehouses. Advisor to the UN World Food Programme on grain quality management; for World Bank reviewed grain postharvest loss reduction in Africa (the ‘Missing Food’ report); and, for the European Commission developed the African Postharvest Losses Information System (APHLIS). Long-term experience in Ghana, Mali and Indonesia; field experience in many other countries.
