Agroecologist: 20 years experience in research and capacity building on sustainable design and management of tropical agroecosystems in Central America and Mexico. Research has focused on evaluation of ecosystem services, tree crop interactions, agroecology of shaded coffee, participatory design and management of agroforestry systems and socioeconomic impacts of sustainable value chains. Development work has contributed to use of agroecological management of coffee by thousands of farmers and increased value of sales by producer cooperatives. Fluent Spanish, basic Portuguese.
