Research fellow in insect behaviour and ecology. Behavioural entomologist with a particular interest in foraging and sensory physiology of insects. Research includes orientation of stored-product beetles towards host material, as well as behaviour and vision of insect pollinators including bees and beetles. One of the developers of the Floral Reflectance Database of flower colours. Currently working on pollination ecology of crop plants and development of pesticidal plants to combat storage pests.
