How to get to NRI by road
On the A2
eastbound from London:
At the M2 turn off
(J1), take the left hand
filter lane onto the A289, signposted to Gillingham
and Rochester. Keep to the left hand lane and follow
the signs for Chatham Maritime and Medway City Estate.
At the first roundabout, take the second exit. At the
next roundabout, take the first exit. At the following
roundabout, take the first exit to the entrance to
the Medway Tunnel. On exiting the tunnel, immediately
take the slip road to the roundabout and take the third
exit. At the next roundabout, turn left under the archway
into Pembroke. Take the right hand fork (just past
St. George's Centre) to the entrance to the Medway
University Campus.
On the A2
westbound from Canterbury:
At the Will Adams roundabout take the right hand exit
onto the A289, signsposted to Medway Tunnel, Chatham
Docks and Chatham Maritime. Continue straight ahead
at the next roundabout. At the Grange roundabout take
the second exit signposted to the A289, Medway Tunnel,
Chatham Docks and Chatham Martime. Go straight ahead
at the Strand roundabout. Continue on the A289, across
traffic lights and take the exit just before the Medway
Tunnel, signposted to the A231, Chatham and Gillingham.
At the next roundabout, turn left under the archway
into Pembroke. Take the right hand fork (just past
St. George's Centre) to the entrance to the Medway
University Campus.
On the M25:
Take either the M26, M20 or A2/M2 and follow signs
for Chatham. Follow signs to Historic Dockyard/Chatham
Maritime/Dickens Experience or the University of
Greenwich. Once at the entrance to Chatham Maritime,
take right-hand exit to Pembroke.
On the M2:
Leave at junction 3, and follow the signs to the Historic
Dockyard/Dicken's Experience or the University of
Greenwich 30 October, 2007
By Public Transport
By Bus
The following bus routes serve the Medway campus directly: Buses (numbers 100, 140/141, 151 and the Dockside Shuttle) to and from Chatham Station (Stop B) call at the Compass Centre for the Medway University Campus. Take the road to the right of the roundabout under the archway to Pembroke. Take the right hand fork (just past St. George's Centre) to the entrance to the Medway University Campus. Buses (Unihopper route 3) also run to and from Gilligham Station.
By Train
There are regular direct services from London (Victoria,
London Bridge and Charing Cross serives) and North
Kent (Ramsgate, Dover and Canterbury services), plus
an indirect service from Maidstone via Strood. Alight
at Chatham or Gillingham, where there is a taxi rank
out side each station.
