NRI is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary centre for research, consultancy and education for the management of natural and human resources.

Enterprise, Trade and Food Management Livelihoods and Institutions Agriculture Health and Environment

Developing appropriate, responsible, innovative and practical solutions that benefit poor people, by facilitating wider market participation and improved market efficiency, and by promoting viable socio-economic and technical policies and practices that are environmentally-responsible.

 

 

Developing practical interventions and policy recommendations to support sustainable livelihoods, by enhancing the role of natural resources, integrating issues such as gender, local knowledge systems and HIV/AIDS, and supporting institutional development and capacity building.

 

Developing and promoting systems to improve crop and livestock productivity, lower agricultural production costs, improve people’s health and safeguard the environment, by safe and sustainable cost-effective management of crop pests, plant diseases, weeds, and vector-borne animal and human diseases.
