out more:
Voluntary standards of social, environmental and corporate accountability are a major feature of responsible business. NRET works with standard-setting bodies and accreditation agencies to build efficient, effective standards and codes of practice that work for the benefit of poor people in developing countries, and are accessible to small producers and marginalised groups. Integrated Supply Chain Management Service NRET works with large and small companies to introduce them to social and environmental dimensions of their supply chains, and developing ways to manage those chains. Producer-market Linkages Service NRET works with producers in developing countries so that they can turn European consumer interest in social and environmental performance to commercial advantage. NRET helps government, business and civil society organisations in the Northern and Southern hemispheres to put in place policies that support socially and environmentally responsible business practice. Learning and Leveraging Service Responsible business isn’t just the responsibility of business. It needs communities, workers, NGOs, government, shareholders and others to be involved. NRET works with NGOs, community groups and other non-business stakeholders to engage with business. |
